Job summary

SA Hospitality Group is seeking a reliable dishwasher to ensure cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and baking equipment in a fast-paced kitchen.

You will work as part of a team, follow safety guidelines, and maintain clean work areas. The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a flexible schedule to meet production needs.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, sheet pans, and utensils using dishwasher or by hand.
• Deep cleaning of ovens, floors, counters, freezers and refrigerators.
• Maintain clean work areas and organize storage areas.
• Sort, remove trash, and manage inventory of toilet supplies.
• Follow directions from manager or chef and work under pressure.

Job description

Position Purpose: the dishwasher is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of dishes, sheet pans, pots, pans, utensils, and baking equipment through manual and machine cleaning methods.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Wash sheet pans, dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans or all equipment used for production using dishwasher machine or by hand if necessary.
• Clean garbage cans with water or steam
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
• Place clean pans, utensils, and cooking equipment in the assigned storage areas.
• Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
• Organize and label all produce deliveries (dairy, flour, etc.)
• Deep cleaning of equipment – ovens, floors, counters, freezers & refrigerators, etc.
• Clean and maintain grease trap (every few days as assigned and when needed)
• Clean the entire production area and other assigned areas of the bakery – to include sweeping, floor mopping and scrubbing, polishing of dust from equipment, etc.
• Perform additional cleaning tasks as assigned by manager or chef that include but are not limited to stairs, sinks, bathrooms, mirrors, toilet seats, floors, trashcans, toilet paper stand and walls.
• Manage inventory of toilet supplies.

Minimal Essential Requirements:

• The ability to work as part of a team, and personal cleanliness.
• Very basic food handling, preparation, and cleaning skills are welcomed.
• Time management and ability to work under pressure to manage high volume of production.
• Ability to communicate and understand direction in English to ensure safety in the workplace. Ability to understand, respond, and engage with co-workers, managers, and guests in English.
• Flexible schedule.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reading and speaking comprehension skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
