Residential Construction Project Manager

Position Overview

The Construction Foreman is responsible for the daily coordination and leadership of the job site. This includes supervising employees and subcontractors, coordinating materials and equipment, maintaining quality and safety standards, and keeping the project moving according to the plans, schedule, and budget.

The Foreman is responsible for four primary areas:

  • Communication
  • Production
  • Quality control
  • Job-site safety

  • Strong planning, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read plans and recognize quality workmanship.
  • Ability to lay out walls, stairs, and rafters accurately.
  • Strong math, measuring, and material-estimating skills.
  • Comfortable leading employees and holding people accountable.
  • Willingness to train and develop less-experienced team members.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
