Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is seeking a Body Journeyman to perform all functions of a fully qualified heavy-duty truck repair Bodyman with minimal supervision. The role includes skilled body work, troubleshooting, and training apprentices in a multi-state dealer network.

The successful candidate will maintain a clean workspace, coordinate with the Shop Foreman, and uphold strong customer relations while performing assigned duties and participating in safety programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years experience in truck body repair or related body work.
• CDL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled heavy-duty truck body work and related components with minimal supervision.
• Troubleshoot major problems on heavy equipment.
• Assist and train apprentice Bodymen.
• Maintain a neat, orderly workspace and handle company tools properly.
• Advise Shop Foreman if additional repair work is needed.
• Maintain positive relations with customers.

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck Dealership and Leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Body Journeyman. The role of the Body Journeyman is to perform all functions of a fully qualified heavy-duty truck repair Bodyman under minimal supervision.

• Performs skilled and complicated body work on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components with minimal supervision.
• Performs trouble shooting on major problems.
• Works with and help train apprentice Bodymen.
• Maintains a neat and orderly working area and proper handling of company tools.
• Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Maintains favorable relations with customers.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

• CDL preferred.
• Must have a minimum of five years experience in truck body repair or other applied body repair service.
