Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company is seeking a Body Journeyman to perform skilled body repairs on heavy-duty trucks in a shop environment. This role supports troubleshooting, tool management, and customer relations while working under minimal supervision.

The candidate should have at least five years of experience in truck body repair, with a positive attitude and the necessary tools to perform responsibilities. CDL is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled body work on heavy-duty truck equipment with minimal supervision.

• Inform Shop Foreman of additional repair work as needed.
• Maintain favorable relations with customers.

Job Overview & Essential Functions

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck Dealership and Leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Body Journeyman. The role of the Body Journeyman is to perform all functions of a fully qualified heavy-duty truck repair Bodyman under minimal supervision.

• Performs skilled and complicated body work on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components with minimal supervision.
• Performs trouble shooting on major problems.
• Works with and help train apprentice Bodymen.
• Maintains a neat and orderly working area and proper handling of company tools.
• Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Maintains favorable relations with customers.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
