• Straighten bent frames and align panels using tools and equipment.
• Perform cosmetic repairs and other duties as assigned.

This role is a fast-paced and challenging position that relies on the ability to interact with co-workers and customers in a professional, well-spoken manner and identify their individual needs by taking ownership of the customer experience.Body Technician - Job SummaryA body repair technician can repair vehicle bodies and straighten vehicle frames.RESPONSIBILITIESThoroughly examine the vehicle damages.Return the vehicle to factory specifications.Remove vehicle trim to gain access to the vehicle body.Can properly fill depressions with body filler and ensure quality repair.Able to remove damaged parts using power tools and a cutting torch.Bolt or weld replacement parts in position using power tools and welding equipment.Straighten bent automobile frames using frame wrack.File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools.Aim headlights.Replace bolts on panels and align them properly.Make cosmetic repairs.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Use special equipment to restore damaged metal frames and body sections to original specifications.Able to develop appropriate and efficient methods for each job.INDSJMUCOMPETENCIES/SKILLSHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.3-4 years of body shop experience is strongly preferred.Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills are required.Ability to work in a high-performance, fast-paced team environment.Ability to adapt to and work effectively within a constantly changing environment.Excellent problem-solving skills are required.Customer FocusOrganizationEnergy LevelPersistenceProduct KnowledgePHYSICAL DEMANDSAbility to sit or stand for prolonged periods.Ability to perform repetitive tasks, manual dexterity.Vision abilities required include close, distance, and depth perception.LiftingAbility to walk long distances.
