Job summary

Texas Collision Centers in Mansfield, TX is seeking a Body Technician to perform collision repair work on cars and trucks with emphasis on quality, timeliness and safety.

The role requires exceptional auto body repair skills, strong analytical abilities, and proficiency with diagnostic tools. You will read repair orders and manuals, plan steps, and ensure repairs are completed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly inspect and test repaired vehicles for quality and paint readiness.

• Perform other related duties as assigned

Body Technicians perform collision repair work on cars, trucks, and other motor vehicles, with a focus on quality, timeliness and safety.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Dis-assemble vehicle in order to assist in identifying damaged components
• Plan Auto Body Repair steps according to the Repair Plan
• Repair/Replace damaged body components as identified
• Grind, file, sand, weld, cut etc...
• Thoroughly inspect and test repaired vehicles to ensure all necessary repairs are complete and vehicle is ready for paint
• Comply with all TCC’s safety standards, guidelines and procedures
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• I-CAR certified preferred
• Three years of related experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly.
• Must be able to inspect vehicle to determine repairs needed.
• Good vision to inspect repair work.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
• Must be able to reach below and above shoulder level
