Qualifications

• 18 years of age with 1–2 years of body repair/Semi-Tractor maintenance experience.
• A/C Certification.
• At least 1 year of experience in DOT inspections, FHWA inspections, and air brakes.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED with 1–2 years of body repair experience.
• Willingness to work outdoors, and across multiple shifts including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Inspect damaged equipment and create cost estimates for repairs.
• Rebuild and paint wrecked trucks, focusing on fiberglass and cosmetics.
• Diagnose and repair systems: fuel, battery, engine, drive train, brakes.
• Perform intermediate repairs per specs and complete work orders.
• Troubleshoot tractor issues and follow shop safety procedures.
• Operate wrecker and conduct post-maintenance diagnostics.

Job Summary:
Under routine supervision, this position is responsible for performing intermediate level body repairs. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, rebuilding, repairing, and painting of J.B. Hunt tractors and other equipment. This position has the possibility to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends in addition to overtime; it requires full-time attendance.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect damaged or wrecked equipment and perform valuations to create cost estimates for repairs

• Rebuild and paint wrecked trucks, hoods, and body parts with special focus on fiberglass and cosmetic repairs

• Demonstrate proficient technical knowledge of preventative maintenance, replacement of parts/components, and more difficult repairs as it pertains tractor maintenance including but not limited to the fuel system, battery, engine, drive train, onboard computer, transmission, air brake systems and FHWA Inspections

• Accurately perform intermediate level repairs to company and manufacturer's specifications, complete work orders, and demonstrate understanding of company requirements for standard repair times (SRT) and warranty guidelines

• Troubleshoot tractor issues; work independently and seek assistance as needed • Understand and effectively follow all shop safety procedures

• Maintain professional communication with JB Hunt personnel and customers at all times

• Participate in Original Equipment Manufacture training for OE repairs

• Adhere to safety standards and procedures including maintaining respirator log

• Participate in Original Equipment Manufacture training for OE repairs

• Operate wrecker to move trucks into shop to be repaired

• Perform post-maintenance diagnostics and testing

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• 18 years of age with 1-2 years of experience in body repair/ Semi-Tractor maintenance and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience; willingness to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively

• Ability to fulfill physical requirements (lift/move appliance up to 50 pounds)

This position may beeligible forannual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of theCompany’s bonusand incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
