Job summary

Slate is seeking an energetic, organized Body Systems Design intern to support the development of the body in white and related structures. The role involves working with an active team to design and develop body system components and assemblies, and to meet project performance targets.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an accredited engineering program with at least a 3.0 GPA, available for full-time hours, and capable of collaborating effectively with internal and external teams and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field and must be enrolled in an accredited degree program.
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours/week).
• Excellent communication and team-building skills.
• Ability to contribute to design teams through integration of related sub-systems into body structure.

Responsibilities

• Be an integral part of an energetic team challenging the status quo of vehicle design.
• Support design and development of body system components and full assemblies.
• Develop and implement functional objectives to meet project performance targets.
• Manage all aspects of body component development to meet project requirements: performance, cost, mass, timing, manufacturability.

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related fieldMust be currently enrolled in an accredited degree program.
