Job summary

Penske is seeking a Body Shop Technician to perform minor truck and trailer collision repairs and assist with major repairs under supervision. You will operate with advanced repair technology and have access to in-house training programs. Strong focus on safety and DOT/OSHA compliance is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational/technical school preferred.
• Certification of completion of technical school specializing in repair/refinish of all series of truck and trailer preferred.
• Working knowledge of tools of trade (including welding equipment, paint equipment, shop machines, and power tools) preferred.
• The associate must understand and comply with Penske policies; safety and DOT/OSHA compliance required.
• Driver qualification file and background checks may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor electrical system repairs and surface preparation for refinishes.
• Repair or replace minor cab accessories and cargo box components; assist with major components under supervision.
• Maintain work area appearance and safety; follow supervisor directions.
