Epic Aircraft, LLC in Bend, Oregon is looking for a Body Shop Technician to prepare aircraft surfaces, perform bodywork, and assist with painting to ensure high-quality finishes on parts. Training and advancement opportunities are available in a hands-on aerospace manufacturing environment.

The position offers two shifts with starting pay of $22.00/hour and $23.00/hour (with differential). Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with match, PTO and holidays,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bodywork or automotive paint experience preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare aircraft surfaces and perform bodywork prior to priming.
• Block and sand primed parts for paint readiness.
• Assist with wet lay-up processes as required.
• Mask parts and components for painting.
• Complete production and quality documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness of the body shop and staging areas.
• Follow safety and quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do

As a member of the Paint and Body Shop Team, the Body Shop Technician assists with preparing aircraft surfaces and components for painting. This role supports the paint process through surface preparation, bodywork, masking, and shop maintenance to ensure high-quality finishes on aircraft parts. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with basic auto body, restoration, or automotive paint experience who are looking to build a long-term career in aircraft manufacturing. Training and advancement opportunities are available for motivated team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform surface preparation and bodywork on aircraft parts prior to priming
• Block and sand primed parts to ensure smooth, paint-ready surfaces
• Assist with wet lay-up processes as required
• Mask aircraft parts and components in preparation for painting
• Complete required production and quality documentation
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the body shop and staging areas
• Follow all safety and quality standards
• Perform other duties as assigned or required?

What You Bring to the Team

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills
• Bodywork, automotive painting, or paint preparation experience is preferred
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team with a positive attitude

• Ability to work with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable working in a paint and body shop environment, including exposure to dust, sanding materials, paint products, and varying temperatures
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, safety glasses, gloves, and protective clothing
• Capable of standing, walking, bending, reaching, and performing repetitive motions for extended periods
• Willingness to perform hands-on, physically demanding work while maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to detail.

Compensation And Schedule

Day Shift

Monday Friday

6:00 a.m. 2:30 p.m.

Starting Pay: $22.00/hour

Afternoon Shift

Monday Thursday

2:30 p.m. 1:00 a.m.

Starting Pay: $23.00/hour (includes shift differential)
