Job summary

Young Chevrolet of St. John's is seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician to join our team. An i-Car Certification is required and your training will support high-quality repairs in a state-of-the-art facility.

You will repair damaged parts, document repairs and materials, communicate progress to the body shop manager, and coordinate with parts to secure needed components. A clean driving record and background check are required.

Qualifications

• i-Car Certification required.
• Experience in auto body repair and refinishing.
• Ability to operate industry-standard tools and equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to submit a pre-employment background check and maintain a clean driving record & valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Determine and repair damaged parts.
• Communicate status of repairs clearly to body shop manager.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain necessary parts.
• Document all repairs performed.
• Document all materials used.
• Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Follow all company safety procedures.
• Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations such as the disposal of hazardous waste.
