Job summary

Lee Industrial Contracting in Pontiac, Michigan is seeking an experienced collision repair technician to thoroughly inspect vehicles, plan repairs, and perform disassembly, repairs, and reassembly to OEM specifications. You will restore damaged metal, use fillers, and ensure high-quality workmanship while following all safety policies.

Candidates should have 2+ years of collision repair experience, strong communication, and the ability to work on multiple vehicles.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of collision repair experience in light to heavy repairs.
• Effective communication (written and verbal) required.
• Ability to work on multiple vehicles/equipment at a time and deliver high quality work.
• Adapt to and work effectively within a changing environment.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly examine each vehicle for damages and develop a proper repair plan.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble each vehicle/equipment per OEM specs and company standards.
• Fill depressions with body filler and ensure quality repairs.
• Bolt or weld replacement parts in position using tools and welding equipment.
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces.
• Restore damaged metal frames and body sections to original specifications.
• Follow all safety policies and report accidents/incidents.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly examine each vehicle for damages and participate in developing a proper repair plan for each vehicle.
• Thoroughly disassemble, repair, and reassemble each vehicle and/or equipment according to OEM specification and company standards.
• Can properly fill depressions with body filler and ensure a quality repair.
• Bolt or weld replacement parts in position using power tools and welding equipment.
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools.
• Ability to restore damaged metal frames and body sections back to original specifications.
• Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report all accidents/incidents to a manager or supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• 2+ years of collision repair experience in completed light to heavy repairs.
• Ability to make cosmetic repairs.
• Forklift experience beneficial, but not required.
• Auto Body Certification beneficial but not required.
• Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work on multiple vehicles and/or equipment at a time and deliver high quality work.
• Ability to adapt to and work effectively within a constantly changing environment.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills required.
