Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC (MBV Charleston) sucht eine Teamleiterin bzw. einen Teamleiter im Body Shop, der das Team führt, Standards überwacht und die Planung koordiniert. Sie koordinieren Abwesenheiten, organisieren Schichtabläufe und setzen Q-Checks am Produkt um.

Pragmatische Problemlösungen und kontinuierliche Verbesserungen gehören zum Alltag. Voraussetzung ist eine abgeschlossene Ausbildung plus relevante Berufserfahrung; bevorzugt sind Erfahrungen im Body Shop.

Qualifications

• Hochschulabschluss oder GED erforderlich.
• 4+ Jahre relevante Berufserfahrung; alternativ Zertifikat + 3 Jahre relevante Erfahrung; oder assoziierter Abschluss + 1 Jahr relevante Erfahrung.
• Bevorzugt: 5+ Jahre relevante Erfahrung; alternativ Zertifikat + 4 Jahre relevante Erfahrung; oder assoziierter Abschluss + 2 Jahre relevante Erfahrung.

Responsibilities

• Bedienung von automatisierten Schweißmaschinen, Einrichtung und Überwachung der Abläufe.
• Überwachung und optimale Einstellung der Maschinenleistung.
• Schleifen, Schleifen und Entgraten von Metallen.
• Arbeiten mit Hand-, Elektro- und Druckluftwerkzeugen.
• Qualitäts- und Sichtprüfung der Schweißverbindungen.
• Metallstruktur entsprechend den Arbeitsvorgaben montieren und fertigen.
• Diagramme und Pläne des Prozesses lesen und interpretieren.
• Maschinen mit benötigten Teilen laden und Probleme identifizieren.
• Teilnahme am Continuous Improvement-Programm.
• Eignungstests erfolgreich bestehen.
• Kenntnisse in Schweißen, Kleben, Oberflächenfinish, Ultraschweißprüfung etc. wünschenswert.

Shift: This position is being offered on 2nd shift

Essential Job Functions

• Machine feeding, set ups, operation of automated and robotic welding machines
• Monitor and set up machinery for optimal performance
• Sanding, grinding and deburring of metals
• Work with hand, power, and pneumatic tools
• Perform quality and visual inspection of final welds
• Assemble and fabricate metal structure according to work specifications
• Read and interpret diagrams and blueprints of the process
• Efficiently and safely load machines with required parts and identify any issues that arise
• Participate in the Continuous Improvement Program
• Must successfully pass assessment testing
• Prefer knowledge of welding, gluing, metal finish, ultrasonic weld inspection, weld destruct, hydraulic, pneumatic, metal processing or data processing

Technical lead of the team

• Communicate, improve and monitor standards
• Test and adaption of the timelines of the SABs/ASBs
• Coordination of the absence planning (vacation, free shifts, …)
• Execution of one point lessons (in coordination with E5)
• Organize and execute shift organization (according to local regulations)
• Supervision and adaption of SOS and marking/inscription,
• Establish rotation plan (in coordination with the team) and guarantee the adherence
• Guarantee and execute Q-Check (at product)
• Maintain board with indicators/ process folder
• Follow measurements, escalation via E5 if necessary
• Follow the adherence of the team targets
• Initiate and regulate problem solving process, error response to causer
• Develop and update qualification matrix (in coordination with the team)
• Rework in the close environment
• Accomplishment of corrective action process (analysis and allocation of errors, remedial action, testing of the efficacy)
• Support during Q-Stop
• Check of employees according to the adherence of standards

Qualifikationen

• Completed MBV Team Leader Training Program
• Knowledge of Body Shop operations
