Job summary

The Kelly Automotive Group is seeking a Body Shop Service Technician to join our growing team at Kelly Volkswagen Inc. The ideal candidate will be ASE-certified with strong diagnostic abilities and a background in servicing body shop orders.

You will diagnose repairs, test-drive vehicles, and communicate with the Service Advisor about additional work and time estimates. We offer paid training, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for career advancement within our family-owned group.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ASE Certification required.
• Experience as a service technician preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components using diagnostic tools and service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor regarding additional repairs and estimated times.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Body Shop Service Technician to join our growing team with Kelly Volkswagen Inc! The right candidate will have a strong service technician background and ASE certified. The day-to-day duties include performing work on specific repair orders and diagnosing what repairs need to be done.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification required
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
• Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
