Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group. The Body Shop Service Advisor role includes greeting customers, coordinating repair requests and estimating repair costs within guidelines.

You will work with the Service Manager and Shop Foremen to schedule work and ensure proper documentation for warranty and repairs. The position requires strong communication, leadership, and a proactive attitude.

Qualifications

• CDL (preferred).
• Minimum 4 years' experience in related field.
• Computer experience (preferred)
• Strong customer relations and communication skills.
• Good leadership abilities.
• Must have a positive can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers professionally and coordinate repair requests.
• Estimate cost of repairs within set guidelines.
• Assist Service Manager with warranty documentation and repair order filing.
• Coordinate repair orders with Service Manager and Shop Foremen for task assignment and proper work scheduling.
• Input repair order information into data processing system and close repair orders.
• Maintain and administers shop tools and supply requirements and status.
• Inform the Service Manager of all customer complaints to be addressed before vehicle leaves the shop.
• Advise customers on needed service work and suggest additional labor, parts, and body shop upsell opportunities.
• Participate in training to stay current on technical and warranty issues.
• Assist in maintaining a clean shop and office area.
• Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Job Overview & Essential Functions

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Service Advisor. The role of the Service Advisor ensures that customers are greeted openly and friendly; coordinates customer repair requests; estimates cost of repairs within set guidelines; assists Service Manager with clerical duties, such as documentation required for warranty, policy settlements, repair order filing and repair preparation for warranty. *Coordinates customer repair orders with Service Manager and Shop Foremen for task assignment. Coordinates with Foremen for proper work scheduling of all shop business.

• Ensures customers receive the most expedient service available through questioning and understanding repair requests.
• Works with Service Manager to ensure timely action taken and settled in areas of disputes and warranty.
• Assures all documentation necessary for sale of labor (customer, internal and warranty) is complete and properly executed.
• Inputs repair order information to data processing system and close repair orders.
• Maintains and administers shop tool and supply requirements and status.
• Informs the Service Manager of all customer complaints so they may be handled before the vehicle leaves the shop.
• Advises customer of needed service work, as well as suggests additional labor, parts, and body shop sales whenever possible (i.e., Preventive Maintenance Inspections, related service work, etc.).
• Participates in training to stay current on technical and warranty issues.
• Assists in maintaining a clean shop and office area.
• Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
