Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform in-process quality inspections on vans, identify defects, and document results. You will collaborate with production to raise awareness of quality issues and support timely resolutions.

Responsibilities include reading inspection points, data entry, defect evaluation, and entering issues into QSYS/FBK, ensuring stamping and process standards are met, and coordinating with the correct process owners.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years manufacturing process experience.
• Inspection experience preferred.
• Significant MBV product knowledge.
• Knowledge in the application of quality inspection methods.
• Basic computer skills; use of MS Office required.
• Ability to work in teams.
• People and persuasion skills.
• Assertiveness in difficult situations.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsabilités

• Be able to read and comprehend checklist inspection points and locate the targeted area for inspection.
• Must have basic computer, writing and language skills; ability to enter data into a computer unassisted
• Be able to identify, evaluate and determine the severity of a defect based on the Van Benchmark Catalog NQ rating scale
• Ability to conduct needed inspections in the established takt time
• Input defects into QSYS and on FBK
• Properly clear defects in QSYS and on the FBK
• Be able to inspect FBKs for conformance to stamping requirements
• Identify the correct process owner for a defect and communicate with them
• Verify correction of defects if/when corrected in-station
• Determine next process step for vehicles with defects (light tunnel/EOL only)

Hours of Work: Current openings are on First shift. Normal hours of work for first shift are currently Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 2:15pm, normal hours of work for second shift are currently Monday to Thursday from 2:10pm to 10:10pm and Friday from 2:10pm – 11:25pm, normal hours of work for third shift are currently Sunday from 8:50pm to 6:05am and Monday to Thursday from 10:05pm to 6:05am. Hours are subject to change based on the needs of the business. You may be required to work on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift for training purposes.
