Job Summary

We are looking for a Body Shop Painter to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a background in paint repair and a positive attitude in the workplace. The day-to-day duties of this role include performing quality paint applications, accurately evaluating the repair order, and arranging timely delivery of paint and necessary materials.

Responsibilities
  • Promote understanding and dedication to client satisfaction
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge for completing painting assignments
  • Ensure compliance with all company and legal requirements related to vehicle repairs
  • Evaluate the work described on repair orders and communicate with estimators about necessary or additional work and materials
  • Plan efficient work procedures using technical manuals and surface preparation and painting techniques
  • Perform quality paint application within designated timeframes and material allowances
  • Use protective supplies to ensure vehicle cleanliness
  • Operate lifting and moving devices for materials and equipment
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying chemical solutions
  • Mask and cover surfaces not to be painted and remove accessories as needed
  • Mix and thin paints to specified colors and consistencies
  • Spray primer, protective, decorative, or finish coatings onto surfaces
Qualifications
  • Experience in paint repair or related education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of safety rules and work procedures
  • Positive attitude and energetic personality
  • Ability to understand instructions and exercise good judgment
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
