Position Overview

Are you passionate about repairing cars, providing exceptional guest experiences, and innovating in the automotive industry? As a Body Shop Mechanical Technician, you will make a positive impact on our business and customers daily, earning competitive pay and benefits. We seek an energetic, customer-focused Mechanical Technician to help us redefine the car service experience.

The Body Shop Mechanical Technician is responsible for completing mechanical work and safety checks on all assigned vehicles for insurance purposes, in accordance with factory and dealership standards and timeframes.

  1. Check parts against estimate and ensure proper parts are ordered and received
  2. Complete mechanical and safety checks as required by insurance companies
  3. Perform small body work such as bumper replacements, dash replacements, R & I of interiors for hail repairs and wind noise, water leak issues
  4. Notify management of any issues that may affect quality or timing
  5. Maintain all required safety and health personal equipment, including respirators, as recommended
  6. Comply with laws and regulations related to hazardous materials and report deviations
  7. Stay informed about and comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting body shop operations
  8. Diagnose check engine and airbag problems
  9. Experience with alignment, suspension work, and airbag installation is required
  10. Previous automotive technician or military equivalent experience required
  11. Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid Driver's License
  12. Pass pre-employment screening (background and drug tests)
