Job description

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is looking for our next Automotive Collision Shop Estimator located at Wayzata Collision Center. The Automotive Collision Shop Estimator Trainee is responsible for estimating and calculating the cost to repair a vehicle, to replace vehicle parts, or the entire vehicle.

Job Responsibilities:

• Write Estimates & Supplements: Review vehicle damage and write quality estimates using CCC One estimating system. Work with the triage team and senior technician to write a supplement based on discoveries after teardown. Create a repair plan for the technician and pull any TIS/repair documents needed for repair. All weld-on panels must have TIS documentation. Submit supplements within 24 hours. Work with insurance companies to manage claims and negotiate pricing if needed.
• Customer Service: Keep customers informed about the repair process and any changes.
• Parts Ordering: Collaborate with Parts Manager to order and locate all necessary parts for repair.
• Quality Check: Review all completed work to ensure it meets or exceeds the standards of The Wayzata Auto Center Collision Repair.
• File Reconciliation: Ensure all documents are up-to-date, signatures are captured, and proper documentation is filed.
• Assist with completing repair and insurance-related documents.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to accurately estimate vehicle damage (preferred)
• Ability to use automated systems to order parts (preferred)
• Follow insurance company Direct Repair guidelines (required)
• Experience with CCC and CDK estimating platforms (preferred)
• Experience in estimating, body shop, or automotive field (preferred)
• Valid Driver’s License (required)
