Job summary

Ed Morse Automotive Group is seeking a Body Shop Estimator to join our team in a busy repair operation. You will assess vehicle damage, estimate labor and parts costs, and coordinate with management to determine repair feasibility and insurance recommendations.

The role emphasizes accurate cost estimation, knowledge of insurance guidelines, and a track record of customer satisfaction. A driver’s license and team-oriented attitude are essential, with opportunities across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an estimator is required
• Certification is preferred
• Familiar with various insurance guidelines
• Successful track record
• Strong record of positive CSI results
• Team oriented
• Valid driver's license with good driving record

Responsibilities

• Examines damaged vehicle to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical, or interior damage.
• Estimates cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item.
• Reviews repair cost estimates with body shop manager or foreman.
• Determines feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts, such as bumpers, fenders, and doors.
• Evaluates practicality of repair as opposed to payment of vehicle market value before accident.
• Determines salvage value on total vehicle loss.
• Prepares insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations.
• Estimates cost of repainting, converting to special purposes, or customizing undamaged vehicles.

We are currently seeking a Body Shop Estimator to join our Ed Morse team.
