Job summary

Bill McCandless Ford in Meadville, PA has opened a modern Collision Center and seeks a detailer to support the production flow. You will perform light vehicle checks, identify prior damages, and complete vehicle washes while keeping interiors and exteriors clean.

Qualifications

• Able to speak and listen effectively one on one.
• Able to use CCC application to perform electronic checklist.
• Buffing skills a must or willingness to learn.
• Understand the technique in detailing freshly painted vehicle.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform light checks on vehicles.
• Identify and mark prior damages on body shop/damaged vehicles.
• Perform different washes in efficient, timely manner.
• Clean interior and exterior, including the trunk, glove compartment, tires, windows, etc. As needed.
• Manage the cycle time of a vehicle from acquisition / arrival to completion.
• Keeps work area neat and clean.
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Uses proper eye, hand, and body protection when using products that require protection.
• Review current priorities with managers.
• Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
• Strive for harmony and teamwork within the department and with all departments.
• Maintain awareness of safety and follow workplace safety requirements.
