Summary

A Body & Paint Shop Technician repairs damaged vehicle exteriors, performing tasks like sanding, priming, and precise paint color matching, and spraying, while strictly adhering to safety protocols for equipment, hazardous materials, and quality standards, ensuring factory-finish appearance and functionality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Sand, fill, prime, and mask areas not to be painted.
  • Painting: Mix paints, match colors, apply primers, sealers, and clear coats using spray guns, ensuring flawless finishes.
  • Component Work: Remove/install trim, glass, and sometimes interior parts.
  • Quality Control: Inspect work for runs, sags, or unpainted spots.
  • Safety & Maintenance: Operate equipment safely, wear PPE (respirator), clean tools, and manage hazardous waste.
Essential Skills & Qualities
  • Detail-oriented, creative, and good with hands.
