Job summary

Stellantis in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Body Designer to create 3D designs using NX and Teamcenter for Body-in-White components and assemblies. You will contribute from concept models to production-level design and detailing.

You will design and maintain NX CAD models and drawings, support engineers and designers, and ensure accuracy and conformance to design standards throughout the development cycle. This role offers hands-on experience in automotive body systems and a path to develop

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of NX (Unigraphics) automotive design experience.
• 5+ years knowledge of vehicles and the vehicle assembly processes.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (stamping, welding, molding, casting).
• Strong mechanical aptitude.

• Designing, laying out, and maintaining NX CAD models and 2D drawings.

Basic Qualifications:

• Education:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Technical Skills:
  • Minimum of 5 years of training or work experience inNX (Unigraphics)automotive design.
  • Minimum of 5 year of practical knowledge of vehicles and the vehicle assembly process.
  • Basic understanding or coursework on manufacturing processes (e.g., stamping, welding, molding, casting).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Software Skills:
  • Experienced withMicrosoft Office(Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree or higher inMechanical Design,Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 8+ Years of Designer Experience
• Experience withTeamcenteror similar PLM systems.
• Familiarity withGD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Exposure toautomotive Body-in-White sheetmetal systemsor related components.
• Ability to work in acollaborative team environmentand communicate effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
