Boston University Radiology Associates (Boston Medical Center) – Academic Body Imaging Radiologist

The Department of Radiology at Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a full-time fellowship-trained Body Radiologist to join our growing Body Imaging division.

Primary clinical responsibilities include interpretation of CT and MRI of the adult abdomen, pelvis, and chest as well as adult ultrasounds, radiographs, and diagnostic fluoroscopy studies. Facilities are state-of-the-art with three 3.0 Tesla magnets and one 1.5 Tesla magnet with ongoing upgrades to the latest technology including 2D and 3D deep learning image reconstruction and acceleration. CT includes four dual energy scanners in close proximity to the Emergency Department, updated with deep learning image reconstruction and cardiac scanning capability. No interventional experience is required.

Established in 1915 as the first Radiology department in the United States, the department consists of 50 radiologists, and provides full-service diagnostic, nuclear, and interventional radiology services. The Body division consists of 12 body imagers with a wide variety of subspecialty expertise. The members are actively engaged in research as well as resident and medical student education including daily image interpretation and teaching conferences. The division is an active participant in multiple multidisciplinary conferences with a close collaborative relationship with multiple other clinical departments. The work schedule will be largely confined to weekday business hours with call ~5-6 weekends per year (compensated with post-call days off), evening and overnight hours being covered by a separate ED Radiology division. We average 4 clinical workdays and 1 academic/administrative day per week (inclusive of weekend call). 40% of daily rotations can be covered remotely by teleradiology with a department-provided and supported fully functional PACS workstation.
