Job summary

Stellantis is seeking an experienced Body Designer to create 3D designs using NX and Teamcenter for Body in White and Castings components and assemblies. You will participate in the entire design process from concept to production-level detailing.

Responsibilities include maintaining NX CAD models, supporting engineers and designers, and ensuring design standards are met throughout development. Strong manufacturing knowledge and 5+ years in automotive design are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of NX (Unigraphics) automotive design experience.
• 5+ years knowledge of vehicles and the vehicle assembly process.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., stamping, welding, molding, casting).
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).

The Body Designer is responsible for creating 3D designs using NX and Teamcenter for various Body in White & Castings components and assemblies. This role involves participation in the entire design process—from conceptual model creation to production-level design and detailing.

• Designing, laying out, and maintaining NX CAD models and 2D drawings.
• Supporting engineers, design supervisors, design leaders, and other designers as needed.
• Ensuring accuracy and compliance with design standards throughout the development cycle.

Basic Qualifications

• Education:
  • Minimum of an high school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical Skills:
  • Minimum of 5 years of training or work experience in NX (Unigraphics) automotive design.
  • Minimum of 5 year of practical knowledge of vehicles and the vehicle assembly process.
  • Basic understanding or coursework on manufacturing processes (e.g., stamping, welding, molding, casting).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Software Skills:
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 8+ Years of Designer Experience
• Experience with Teamcenter or similar PLM systems.
• Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• High exposure to automotive Castings and Body-in-White sheetmetal systems.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and communicate effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
