Job description

DUTIES
  • Integrate sensing devices into the vehicle subsystems including lighting.
  • Create and maintain Interface Control Design (ICD) strategy and ICD templates.
  • Develop and maintain commodity specific documentation.
  • Generate and maintain Global subsystem/component technical specifications templates.
  • 10% domestic and international travel required.
  • Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days remote - Must be able to report to local office.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field of study and Two (2) years of experience as a Design Release Engineer, Design Engineer, Hardware Engineer, or related occupation.
  • Two (2) years of experience with: Automotive product development, including exterior lighting systems and electronic module ownership through the full lifecycle (requirements, design, validation, launch, and production support); DFMEA, APQP, PPAP, and Engineering Change Management (ECM) for safety-/regulatory-relevant components and systems; CAD/PLM tools including NX, TeamCenter, and Vis Mockup for packaging, interface definition, and release of components and assemblies; Structured problem-solving methods including 8D and DFSS; Finite Element / structural analysis to support component robustness and manufacturability evaluations; and Application of GD&T and tolerance analysis for precision mechanical interfaces.
