Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Examiner - Bodily Injury for a telecommuter role in the United States. You will analyze and process complex auto bodily injury and commercial transport claims, review coverage, investigate liability, and evaluate damages to reach timely resolutions.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required to include in-depth knowledge of personal and commercial line auto policies, coverage’s, principles, and laws.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.
• Skills: strong oral and written communication, including presentation skills, PC literate including Microsoft Office products, and ability to work in a team environment.
• Secure and maintain the State adjusting licenses as required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Process complex auto, commercial, and personal line bodily injury claims with proper documentation.
• Coordinate litigation processes on litigated claims.
• Manage vendor relationships and independent adjusters for investigations.
• Report large claims to excess carriers.
• Develop action plans to meet state deadlines and resolve files promptly.
• Identify subrogation and risk-transfer opportunities; handle salvage.
• Communicate claim actions with insured, clients, and brokers.
• Support the organization's quality programs.
