Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Examiner for Auto | Commercial Claims | Bodily Injury to analyze and process complex auto bodily injury and commercial loss claims, review coverage, investigate liability, and assess damages for timely resolution. This remote role supports clients nationwide with collaborative teamwork, strong communication, and adherence to client requirements.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required; knowledge of personal and commercial auto policies.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication, including presentation skills; PC literate including Microsoft Office; ability to work in a team environment.
• Secure and maintain state adjusting licenses as required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Processes complex auto commercial and personal line claims, including bodily injury; ensures files are documented and coded correctly.
• Responsible for litigation process on litigated claims.
• Coordinates vendor management, including independent adjusters for investigations.
• Reports large claims to excess carrier(s).
• Develops and maintains action plans to meet deadlines and move files toward resolution.
• Identifies subrogation and risk transfer opportunities; secures and disposes of salvage.
• Communicates claim actions with insured, client, and broker as appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned; supports quality programs.
