Job summary

McCraw Oil in Bonham, TX is seeking a Bobtail Driver to join our Bonham Warehouse team. This role emphasizes safety, customer service, and reliable delivery of propane and related fuels.

You will operate bobtail trucks, comply with DOT regulations, and support service technicians and sales staff to meet daily goals. A CDL is required plus Hazmat/tanker endorsements preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold Class A or B CDL with X Endorsement (Hazmat, Tanker, Airbrakes).
• DOT Drug Screen & DOT Physical.
• Must be 21 or older.
• Propane experience preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Service existing customer locations: performing leak checks; and system startups
• Backup propane service technician to help handle peak demand periods (e.g., winter months)
• Accurately complete delivery & work orders, manage truck inventory and assist with general branch operations tasks
• Operate safely with a safety first mindset, with a relentless focus on safety and compliance with propane safety regulations
• Safely operate propane bobtail, service truck, crane truck, forklift, trencher and mini-excavator

Job Summary:

The BobtailDriver is a key position that revolves around providing the highest standardsof service to our customers while maintaining an uncompromising focus on safetyand regulatory compliance. Daily duties are varied, and the ideal candidate hasa high degree of self‑motivation and is able to work independently with minimalsupervision. A high degree of teamwork is essential as the position mustinteract closely with our customer service representatives, sales team andservice technicians to ensure that our customers get the level of quality and servicethat sets McCraw Oil apart from our competition.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education and Experience Required:

• Good technology and mechanical/technical aptitude
• Able to learn delivery & service work paperwork processes
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and drivingconditions.
• Lifting, pushing, pulling, bending and climbing in and out of thetruck and doing service/installation work.
• Able to safely operate the equipment required for the position (asnoted above)

Working conditions:

Environmentalconditions such as rain, mud, ice, snow, and uneven terrain will affect thisjob, as the employee spends most of the workday outdoors.

Pay / Hours:

Pay will bedetermined by level of relevant experience combined with certifications & licensesheld. Hours will vary based on the demands of the propane season, serviceschedules and other factors.
