Job summary

Superior Plus Propane is looking for a Propane Bobtail Driver to safely and promptly deliver propane to customers. You will load, unload and deliver propane while providing excellent customer service and maintaining high safety standards. A clean vehicle and accurate records are essential.

This full-time role offers flexible schedules and competitive pay. Eligibility requires CDL A/B, tanker and hazmat endorsements preferred, DOT medical certification, and legal work authorization in the US.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDL Class A or B license required.
• Tanker endorsement preferred.
• Hazmat endorsement preferred.
• Current DOT medical certification required.
• US work authorization (no visa sponsorship offered).

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane safely to customers by load, transport, and unload.
• Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and equipment.
• Use available technology to monitor deliveries and print tickets.
• Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report mechanical issues.
• Coordinate with Dispatcher for routing and schedule.
• Work overtime when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Propane Bobtail Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to our customers. The Delivery Driver will deliver, load and unload propane while providing exceptional customer service. Our Delivery Drivers are also accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the delivery and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

This is a full-time position, available as either year-round employment or seasonal employment, depending on candidate availability and business needs.

What you’ll do:

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane, product to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks and/or cylinders) for customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete and submit daily driver report where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable document, pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with the Dispatcher frequently for routing and scheduling information. Notify the dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
• Employees may be required to work overtime hours when business needs require it.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum of 1 year delivery driver experience preferred
• CDL Class A or B
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsement preferred
• Current DOT medical certification
• Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.

The hourly rate for this position is $31.00 - $32.00 per hour.
