Job description

Position: Bindery Operator

We are hiring a Bindery Operator on a direct hire basis with benefits. Join a dependable company with a very stable workload and multiple night shift options!

Shift Options:

• M-Th 7pm-5am (4-10s)
• 13-hour shift - MTW then TFS, flips every other week, night shifts
• 2-2-3 7pm-7am (12s)

Qualifications:

• Thorough knowledge of setup, adjustment, procedures, capabilities, and limitations of equipment for binding, folding, collating, and cutting printed materials to complete finished products.
• Comprehensive understanding of machinability of different paper weights, sizes, types, and colors, including identifying paper conditions such as excessive moisture or curling that may require additional adjustments.
• Ability to use standard and specialized tools and devices to adjust and maintain the accuracy and operation of bindery machines.
• Skill in making difficult adjustments to powered machines using hand tools like wrenches, screwdrivers, punches, and knives, as well as specialized tools provided by manufacturers.
• Experience operating complex bindery equipment such as folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, and binding/gluing machines.
• Knowledge of Bobst Expertfold and Bobst Media Gluer systems.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions to determine machine operation sequences, ensuring dimensional accuracy according to provided guidelines.
