The Cosmetic Counter Manager reports to the Sales Team Manager/Store Manager and ensures the execution of Belk's standards within their store. The role involves meeting and exceeding sales goals by coaching associates on selling techniques and building customer relationships.

Development Responsibilities:
  • Analyze business data and recommend strategies to management and vendors.
  • Manage counter sales to meet or exceed goals, helping associates achieve personal SPH targets.
  • Recruit, interview, and retain quality staff, with open positions filled within two weeks on average.
  • Develop staff skills and recommend for promotions.
  • Implement effective scheduling for proper coverage and maximize productivity.
  • Communicate clearly with the team, conduct meetings, and provide feedback.
Sales Responsibilities:
  • Achieve personal sales and customer service goals.
  • Demonstrate excellent selling skills and customer service.
  • Execute promotions and events, drive clienteling, and meet sales targets.
Customer Service Responsibilities:
  • Meet or exceed customer service and credit application goals.
  • Provide high-quality service, build clientele, and handle transactions efficiently.
General Responsibilities:
  • Maintain store presentation, merchandise, and signage.
  • Ensure proper inventory procedures and store policies are followed.
  • Assist with duties as assigned and communicate effectively with management.
Minimum Education & Experience:

  • Strong organizational skills.
Knowledge / Skills:
  • Proficiency with computers, POS systems, and related equipment.
  • Manual dexterity for handling merchandise and applying treatments/makeup.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 25-50 pounds and push/pull carts weighing 100-500 pounds.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
