The Boating Division seeks Boating Education Assistants to educate boaters on safe practices and conduct inspections at state launches. Positions are field-oriented, requiring weekend work and varying hours from mid-May to mid-October.
The Boating Division is seeking Boating Education Assistants to engage with and educate boaters at our state boat launches. Boating Education Assistants visit state boat launches to educate boaters about clean and safe boating practices, conduct voluntary Vessel Safety Checks and Aquatic Invasive Species inspections, and report the overall boat launch condition to Boating Division staff. These positions are field-oriented, with the duty station statewide, and the main office located at 333 Ferry Road, Old Lyme, CT. Boat launch duty stations are typically within a reasonable drive from your residence. The position is available from mid-May through mid-October, with weekend work required. Work hours may vary daily, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays. See the Examples of Duties section for more information.
