Job summary

Freedom Boat Club, a division of Brunswick Corporation, is seeking a Marine Technician in Savannah, GA. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain boats and engines, delivering high-quality workmanship and efficient service to members.

You will work onsite at the Savannah location, collaborating with service administration and supervisors to ensure timely, safe, and accurate repairs while upholding our safety standards and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Certified in Yamaha or Mercury is a plus.
• Must have knowledge of 12v electrical, rigging, outboard diagnostics.
• Fiberglass repair a plus.
• Boating experience in and around boats is preferred.
• Know how to work safely in a shop environment, maintain a clean work environment and adhere to required safety policies.
• Know how to maneuver a boat and trailer.
• High School degree or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Must pass a background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform installs, repairs and maintenance on boats and engines.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using technical expertise.
• Collaborate with supervisors to address challenges, establish workflows, and estimate timeframes.
• Review repair orders and vessel specifications to determine scope of work and necessary repairs.
• Conduct safety inspections and inform customers of maintenance needs.
• Perform refurbishment work on boats.
• Track time and labor for each repair order, aiming for efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
