Job summary

MBI - Malibu Boats, Inc seeks a Sub Assembly Technician in Cobalt/TN-Lenoir, TN 37771. You will assemble boat components and read drawings to ensure quality while safely using pneumatic and battery tools. You will document completed parts for production and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Strict adherence to safety protocols and detail-oriented production documentation are essential, with the department in Assembly reporting to the supervisor. Typical overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, or equivalent; 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures.
• Math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide; rate, ratio, percent and basic graphs.
• Ability to follow written/oral instructions and maintain accuracy under production schedules.
• Other qualifications may be required or beneficial as determined by the employer.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components for boats (ballast tanks, fuel tanks, heaters, stereo and electrical components).
• Read drawings and specifications; operate high-speed pneumatic and battery-powered tools safely.
• Document finished parts for production records and quality control.
• Workload tracked by daily schedules; ensure timely and quality completion.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, and PPE compliance; perform other duties as assigned.
