POSITION SUMMARY :

The Boat Shipping position is responsible for loading finished boats, motors, and trailers on various types of transport ation methods.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Prepare s the transports for loading by placing and assembling steel rails and components in the proper configuration for the type and mix of boats being loaded .
• Place s boats and motors on the trailers by operating powered lift truck .
• Loads and s ecures the boats, motors, and accessories by using various types of strapping and tie down equipment .
• Unload s trailers shipped from the trailer manufacturing plant and place in a pre-determined location in the yard by use of a power lift truck .
• Maintains clean, safe and hazard free work area.
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY :

• Knowledge of f orklifts, motor vehicles and yard tractors
