Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a Boat Shipping associate to load finished boats, motors, and trailers using lift trucks and required equipment. You will secure cargo with straps, operate yard tractors, and help move units to designated yard locations.

Responsibilities include maintaining a safe work area, following procedures for loading, and performing other duties as assigned. The role requires basic physical ability and knowledge of loading operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of forklifts, motor vehicles and yard tractors.
• Operation of yard truck and hoist.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Load and secure boats, motors, and accessories on trailers using straps and tie-downs.
• Operate powered lift truck to place boats and motors on trailers.
• Load and unload trailers and move equipment to designated yard locations.
• Maintain clean, safe, hazard-free work area.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Boat Shipping position is responsible for loading finished boats, motors, and trailers on various types of transportation methods.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Prepares the transports for loading by placing and assembling steel rails and components in the proper configuration for the type and mix of boats being loaded.

• Places boats and motors on the trailers by operating powered lift truck.

• Loads and secures the boats, motors, and accessories by using various types of strapping and tie down equipment.

• Unloads trailers shipped from the trailer manufacturing plant and place in a pre-determined location in the yard by use of a power lift truck.

• Maintains clean, safe and hazard free work area.

• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Knowledge of forklifts, motor vehicles and yard tractors

• Operation of yard truck and hoist

• Detail oriented
