Job summary

UC Davis Health seeks an Associate Physician (Board Eligible) in Anesthesiology to provide clinical care, teach residents, students, and CRNAs, and participate in quality and safety initiatives across multiple UCDH locations.

The physician will work collegially with the Vice Chair and Chair, integrating physiology, pharmacology and homeostasis across diverse cases from surgical, obstetric, diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Qualifications

• MD/DO required, California medical license or eligible.
• Board eligibility in anesthesiology or ABMS equivalent.
• 50 hours CME in last two years.
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Ability to teach residents, medical students and CRNAs.
• Physically and mentally able to perform duties in OR settings.
• Excellent communication for feedback and CQI purposes.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services for wide range of surgical procedures.
• Instruct residents and medical students in OR and clinical settings.
• Collaborate with ASA standards and UC Davis Health policies.
• Deliver safe, effective patient care across UCDH locations.
