Job summary

University of California - Davis is seeking an Associate Physician (Board Eligible) for the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. The role combines patient care with teaching residents, medical students, and CRNAs across UCDH locations.

Candidates should have an MD/DO and California licensure, with DEA credentials, CME activity in the past two years, and the ability to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment focused on safety and quality of care.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree and board-eligible in anesthesiology.
• Active California medical license or ability to obtain.
• DEA license or ability to obtain.
• 50 hours of CME in last two years.
• Experience performing anesthesiology functions.
• Ability to teach residents, students, and CRNAs.
• Strong communication for resident feedback and CQI.
• Physically and mentally able to perform duties in ORs and locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care across anesthesia services at UCDH locations.
• Combine clinical duties with instruction of residents, medical students, and CRNAs.
• Deliver safe, high-quality anesthesia per ASA standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in perioperative care.
• Contribute to quality improvement and education initiatives.
