Job summary

New England Veterinary Center & Cancer Care (NEVCCC) in Windsor, CT, seeks a Board-Certified or Residency Trained Veterinary Surgeon to join a cutting-edge 24/7 specialty and emergency hospital. You will work with a team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff, alongside the Hospital Manager and Regional Manager.

NEVCCC offers state-of-the-art facilities with multiple surgical suites, advanced diagnostics, and a strong focus on client relationships, education, and high-quality patient

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD degree from an accredited college or university.
• 1-year rotating internship in small animal medicine, surgery, ER.
• Completed a 3-year AVMA-approved residency.
• Current State Veterinary License.
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
• Client communication and education.
• Maintaining accurate medical records.
• Pharmacy duties including prescribing medications and following controlled-substance protocols.
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency.
• Collaborate with Hospital Manager on weekly priorities.
