Animal Emergency & Specialty Center of Chattanooga is seeking an experienced Emergency Veterinarian to join our team of specialists, ER clinicians, and a dedicated support staff, with clinical autonomy.

This full-time role offers flexible scheduling, including 12-hour shifts and no mandatory on-call, with production-based pay and a sign-on bonus up to $25,000. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• DVM degree / VMD or equivalent.
• Active veterinary license in TN preferred (licensure transfer fees covered).
• Experience as an Emergency Veterinarian preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload.
• Collaborate with board-certified specialists in surgery and oncology.
• Practice with access to CT, ultrasound, endoscopy and ICU monitoring.
• Maintain a high standard of client communication and teamwork.

• Enjoy flexible scheduling!
  • The full-time schedule generally consists of twelve 12-hour shifts per 4-week block
  • Experienced overnight ER DVMs can opt to work 9 shifts every month / 4-week block.
  • Part-time or Full-time candidates will be considered.

Our ideal candidate:

• Experience as an Emergency Veterinarian is preferred
• Schedule Flexibility - typically 3-4 shifts per week, rotating to include night, swing and weekend shifts
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree / VMD or equivalent
• An active veterinary license in the state of TN is preferred, but not required, we will cover state licensure transfer fees
• Passionate about practicing outstanding emergency veterinary medicine but also building and fostering a strong team
• Strong communicator who models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients
