PetVet Care Centers in Tucson, AZ seeks a compassionate Board Certified or Residency Trained Small Animal Surgeon to join our 24-hour specialty and emergency referral hospital, working with a team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to deliver high-quality care. Qualifications

• DVM or VMD from an accredited college or university.
• 1-year rotational internship in small animal medicine, surgery, ER.
• Completed a 3-year AVMA-approved residency program.
• Current State Veterinary License required.
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
• Communicate with clients and educate about care.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Prescribe medications and follow controlled substance protocols.
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency.
• Collaborate with Hospital Manager on weekly priorities.
• Evaluate and monitor hospital protocols from intake to discharge.
• Attend daily rounds and participate in practice management updates.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
