Job summary

77 consultants seeks aboard-certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician to deliver comprehensive rehabilitative care in a collaborative, patient-centered clinic in Wheaton, IL. The role covers outpatient and inpatient settings, EMG/NCS, injections, and multidisciplinary coordination.

The physician will develop individualized plans, perform evaluations, and guide residents, with a focus on quality improvement and staying current with best practices in rehab medicine.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Board certified or board eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
• Valid and active medical license in good standing
• Associate-level clinical experience in physical medicine and rehabilitation
• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
• Experience with electrodiagnostic testing and interventional procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary medical team
• Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous quality improvement
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in medical documentation
• Willingness to work on-site in a clinical practice setting
• Dedication to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry best practices

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, and functional impairments
• Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation and treatment plans
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including physical examinations and diagnostic assessments
• Perform and interpret electrodiagnostic studies such as EMG and nerve conduction studies
• Administer and oversee interventional pain management and injection procedures
• Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to coordinate care
• Prescribe and manage medications, therapies, and assistive devices as appropriate
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with regulatory standards
• Educate patients and their families on treatment options, recovery plans, and preventive care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical outcome monitoring
• Stay current with advances in physical medicine and rehabilitation through continuing education
• Provide guidance and mentorship to clinical staff and trainees as needed
