Job summary

American Academy of Ophthalmology is seeking a skilled oculoplastic surgeon to join a state-of-the-art regional practice serving Beaumont, Port Arthur, and Southeast Texas. You will be the sole oculoplastic surgeon in the area, delivering functional and cosmetic eyelid surgery in a patient-centered environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration with ophthalmology colleagues, with responsibilities spanning eyelid procedures, lacrimal disorders, and non-surgical facial rejuvenation.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with successful completion of an accredited Ophthalmology residency.
• Fellowship trained in Oculofacial Plastic Surgery (ASOPRS or equivalent formal fellowship).
• Board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
• Licenses to practice medicine in the State of Texas (or eligible for licensure).

Responsibilities

• Perform functional and aesthetic eyelid surgeries (blepharoplasty, ptosis repair, entropion/ectropion correction).
• Manage lacrimal system disorders and tearing issues.
• Provide non-surgical cosmetic facial rejuvenations (neurotoxins and dermal fillers)

Education

MD/DO and Ophthalmology residency

Oculofacial Plastic Surgery fellowship (ASOPRS or equivalent)

Board certification or board eligibility by ABO

Texas medical licensure or eligibility
