Summary

The primary function of the Board‑Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is to plan, develop, and monitor a variety of behavioral support service delivery options to meet the needs of clients diagnosed with behavioral and social/communication challenges.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits knowledge of developments/trends in developmental disabilities and aging.
• Exhibits proper cooperation, enthusiasm, and interest in all areas necessary for the success of FCC and associated services.
• Assures compliance with State/Federal law and CARF accreditation.
• Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training RBTs; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding/disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Prepares timely reports and records for quality management review with CARF and Executive Management meetings.
• Assists in community involvement for public relations.
• Administers, conducts, evaluates, and supervises the implementation of behavioral assessment measures (e.g., VB‑MAPP, ABLLS) and functional assessment measures.
• Develops individualized goals and objectives for home, community, and center‑based programs and designs behavior support plans based on functional assessment data.
• Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented so that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals for continual evaluation of behavior plans and achievement of goals.
• Conducts regular parent, caregiver, and teacher training and consultation.
• Develops materials, training, and resources for and provides professional learning to parents/guardians in ABA and other evidence‑based methodologies related to addressing the needs of students with behavior difficulties.
• Trains behavior technicians on ABA programs and individualized plans of care.
• Conducts and oversees the initial RBT training.
• Directly observes treatments administered by behavior technicians.
• Facilitates natural environment interventions when appropriate.
• Reviews technician documentation and data collection and provides feedback as needed.
• Communicates through checking voicemail and email regularly.
• Responsible for ongoing individual program oversight and conducting weekly supervision meetings with Program Coordinators and Behavior Technicians.
• Completes all necessary documentation in a timely and satisfactory manner according to written procedures and regulatory/payer guidelines.
• Develops written reports documenting behavioral recommendations for parents, caregivers, and agency personnel in a timely and accurate manner.
• Responds to referrals for service in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Participates in professional meetings or conferences.
• Adheres to the mission, vision, and values of FCC.
• Maintains confidentiality of all information and complies with Friendship Community Care Non‑Disclosure Policy and HIPAA policies.

Qualifications

Language Skills

Ability to read, write, and interpret medical history, assess reports, and relevant data. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees within the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide across all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical Demands
