A leading company in the behavioral consulting field seeks a BCBA to manage clinical activities, conduct assessments, and train staff. The role requires a Master's or Doctorate in a related field and experience with children with Autism. Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, supervising therapists, and ensuring compliance with protocols. BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION
In accordance with the needs of the ages and of the population served by us, the BCBA-1/ LBS will organize and maintain data collection and statistical analysis systems for programs; conduct behavioral assessments and program implementation; direct clinical activities and staff/parent training; act as the Behavior Analyst on your assigned cases.

Maintain confidentiality as outlined by HIPAA protocol on all company related correspondence and communications.
Collect, record, summarize and analyze data based on client observable behavior.
Develop and write FBA’s, treatment plans, and BIP.
Write progress notes, supervision notes, assist direct therapists in maintaining program books, update progress notes, treatment plans, and behavior plans.
Conduct research on current interventions in ABA on specific target behaviors.
Actively supervise, train and consult the caregivers and other professionals in the implementation of baseline, treatment, parent training, and generalization sessions to ensure satisfactory implementation of treatment protocols.
Develop behavior protocols and skill training protocols for clients. Disseminate this information to the treatment team.
Evaluate risk management and crisis management to utilize safe and appropriate handling, management and guidance procedures when transporting or working with clients.
Implement and monitor integrity checks and target supervision in the areas in which the staff needs support.
Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on data and report progress towards treatment goals at a minimum every 6 months or when the child has met their goals.
Conduct VB MAPP assessments, ABLLS, SKILLS, and any other assessments that may be be appropriate to the development of a behavior program.
Review graphs and make intervention changes when appropriate, at a minimum every 2 weeks.
Coordinate staff schedules that are working on your cases.
Supervise the direct therapists on your specific cases at least 1 time a week for a minimum of 5% of their hours.
Follow direction from Clinical Director or Senior Behavior Analyst regarding RBT supervision.
Promptly report any problems on the case (s) to the Executive Director, Clinical Director or Senior Behavior Analyst.
Report to child line with any suspected abuse within 24 hours of the report or incident.
Update assessments every year or more frequently, if required.
Complete quarterly progress reports and evaluate client progress towards treatment goals. Update insurance client treatment plans to reflect monthly progress to be kept in binder until end of treatment plan. Original plan with progress records should be turned into the office.
Attend treatment meetings and IEP meetings as required.
Modal treatment protocols to staff.
Treatment Plans, FBA, BIP, and progress updates will be submitted with a 48-hour turnaround.
Develop and oversee transition/discharge plan.
Must have own transportation.
Must provide proof of vehicle registration and insurance card.
Turn in paperwork on time according to the schedule.
Must check email correspondence daily.
Must be able to assume a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crouching, sitting, standing) in the course of working with developmental disabilities and severe behavior problems.
Must be able to lift and carry clients in braces and other adaptive equipment.
Must be able to restrain/hold/transport clients in the course of behavioral management.
Must be able to receive detailed oral communication and communicate orally to parents, supervisors and staff.
Must have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
Oversee case related duties such as protocol dissemination, protocol reviews, and parent/staff training.
Utilize safe and appropriate handling, management and guidance procedures when transporting and working with clients.
Provide indirect client care, following the prescribed behavioral/protocols/programs.
Shadow/supervise direct therapists a minimum of 5% of direct therapist’s hours per week.
Responsibility of level one BCBA to respond to parent concerns, direct therapy concerns, scheduling concerns and case specific concerns within 24 hours.
After responding to concerns stated above, if additional support is needed contact a Senior Behavior Analyst.
Any concerns regarding direct therapist case re-assignment will be communicated from office staff to supervisor who will communicate any changes to direct therapists and parents.
Report to Human Resources on employee related issues.
Report to Administrative Director regarding billing, technology and schedule related inquiries.
BCBA at the Master’s Level or doctorate level with current certification; Maintain certification of your BCBA and LBS.
Maintain CAQH and credentialing with insurance companies.
Previous experience working in a reputable clinic, home, or school program is highly desirable.
A minimum of 1 year clinical/home/school experience providing direct services to children with Autism, training parents, and supervising staff in the implementation of intervention protocols.
Knowledge of insurance-third party funding systems or willingness to learn.
Extremely knowledgeable of early learning curriculum and the application of behavioral principles to increase a wide range of functional repertoires.
Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Consultants should be able to work with children who range from high functioning to low functioning ASD and be able to develop and supervise the implementation of clinical programs in the home, school, and community environments.
Motivated, excellent work ethic, high degree of quality work and work with minimal direction.
Able to work independently and as a team member in a dynamic, fast paced environment including one that is building structure and process as it goes along; must be flexible and patient.
Stay current on BCBA requirements and maintain CE credits with the BCBA board.
A Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Psychology, Speech and Language, Occupational Therapy, Education, or related field with an emphasis on Applied Behavior Analysis.
Experience providing behavioral services to children with developmental disabilities is preferred.
Maintain up-to-date training/certification status in CPR, seizure training, child abuse reporting, professional crisis management, LBS license, BCBA certification and other company provided in-service topics.
Maintain CAQH and re-attestations current.
Complete credentialing process with insurance companies within the first 2 months of hire and recertify every 2-3 years based on insurance requirements.
Must have and maintain a basic knowledge of computer systems and applicable software.
Candidates with an LBS license and a current certification as a Behavior Analyst is preferred. All Behavior Analysts must obtain their LBS within 3 months of hire.
Once certified as a BCBA, staff must meet all requirements with the certification board to supervise the RBTs and BCBA candidates.
