Job summary

Accurate ABA seeks a skilled Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to assess clients, develop and implement evidence-based behavior intervention plans, and supervise staff. You will collaborate with families and professionals to generalize skills across settings and provide monthly parent training.

A BCBA with a Maryland license and 1+ year of relevant experience is preferred. The role offers part-time engagement in Westminster, MD with competitive hourly compensation and benefits, including

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in applied behavior analysis, psychology, education, or a related field.
  • Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) issued by BACB.
  • Maryland license and active practice preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct FBAs and assessments to identify functions and develop intervention strategies.
  • Design, implement, and monitor individualized BIPs based on ABA.
  • Supervise and train behavior technicians, therapists, and staff in implementing BIPs.
  • Monitor client progress with data collection and adjust interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, teachers, and professionals for consistency across environments.

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our dynamic and supportive team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in applied behavior analysis (ABA) and experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, or other special needs. This role has growth potential and is integral to improving the lives of individuals and their families through evidence-based interventions and supportive collaboration. As a BCBA, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, creating and implementing individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs), and overseeing the implementation of ABA programs. You will work closely with clients, families, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure consistency, measurable progress and the generalization of skills across environments.

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and other assessments to identify the function of behavior and develop effective intervention strategies.

  • Design, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on the principles of applied behavior analysis.

  • Supervise and provide ongoing supervision and training to behavior technicians, therapists, and other staff members involved in the implementation of behavior intervention plans.

  • Continuously monitor client progress by collecting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, making adjustments to interventions as needed to ensure effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals to ensure consistency and generalization of skills across environments.

  • Provide monthly parent training.

  • Stay current with research and best practices in the field of applied behavior analysis and incorporate new techniques and methodologies into practice.

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Requirements:
  • Master's degree or higher in applied behavior analysis, psychology, education, or a related field.

  • Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

  • Maryland License.

  • Minimum of 1 years of experience working as a behavior analyst, preferably in a clinical or educational setting.

  • Strong knowledge of the principles and techniques of applied behavior analysis (ABA).

  • Experience conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and developing behavior intervention plans (BIPs).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Passion for working with individuals with developmental disabilities and a commitment to promoting positive behavior change and improving quality of life.
