Job summary

Keshet seeks a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join the Keshet School at Solomon Schechter Day School in Northbrook, IL. The role requires a graduate degree and IL licensure eligibility, with a salary range of $75,000–$87,000 per year.

The BCBA will observe students, develop ABA programs, collaborate with staff and families, and provide professional development and behavior management plans in a therapeutic educational setting.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in psychology, education, ABA, or related field.
  • Illinois licensure as a Behavior Analyst or license-eligible.
  • Certification as a Safety Care Trainer and completion of CPR training.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with students who have intellectual, physical, and behavioral challenges.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, rules, and district policies; strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Observe students and conduct Functional Behavior Assessments for students with behavior concerns.
  • Develop behavior plans and ABA programs for students with skill deficits and problem behaviors.
  • Meet with families, teachers, and administration to discuss treatment and progress.
  • Provide behavior analysis services and management plans in a therapeutic learning environment.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop or modify BCBA programming as needed.
  • Direct work with students with complex behaviors and provide staff training on delivery and data collection.

Position: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Location: Keshet School, Solomon Schechter Day School – Northbrook, IL 60062
Education Level: Graduate Degree
Salary Range: $75,000.00 – $87,000.00 per year
Supervisor: School Site Administrator

Responsibilities
  • Observe students and conduct Functional Behavior Assessments for students who have behavior concerns.
  • Create and assist school staff with the development of behavior plans, ABA programs, and other appropriate programs for students who present skill deficits (e.g., communication and adaptive behavior) and problem behavior (e.g., aggression, and self‑injurious behavior).
  • Meet with families, teachers, or administration to discuss the student’s treatment and progress and recommend ways to address behavioral issues.
  • Provide behavior analysis services and behavior management plans for students who receive special education in a therapeutic learning environment grounded in evidence‑based practices.
  • Collaborate with building and educational leadership to develop and modify BCBA programming as needed.
  • Direct work with students presenting complex and challenging behaviors (case by case).
  • Provide professional development for certified and non‑certified staff in service delivery, data collection, and general information regarding behavior analysis.
  • Participate in required and other job‑related professional development activities to improve or maintain certification/skills.
Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field.
  • Behavior Analyst licensure or license‑eligible, in the state of Illinois.
  • Must possess certification as a Safety Care Trainer and fulfill all associated training responsibilities.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with students with intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities and behavioral challenges.
  • Working knowledge of the principles, practices, and ethical standards; relevant state and federal laws, rules, and regulations; and applicable district policies and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate calm leadership in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Judaics is helpful.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
  • Must complete and be competent in required training to receive certification in CPR and Safety Care.
