Job summary

Maxima Therapy seeks a dynamic Behavior Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team delivering in-home and daycare services for children from birth to 3 years old with varying delays. You will run DTT and NET programs under supervision, provide parent training, and collaborate with therapists, SLPs, OTs, and BCBA guidance.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, completing notes, and maintaining BACB-compliant practices.

Qualifications

  • Must be BCBA with current credentials.
  • Experience with ABA and children with special needs.
  • Ability to provide parent/teacher training and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Ability to pass a background check and provide immunization records.

Job description

Maxima Therapy is looking for a dynamic, creative, and committed Behavior Therapist to join our interdisciplinary therapy team comprised of speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, behavior analysts, child development specialists, and behavior technicians. The position entails a flexible work schedule, providing individual services to children ages birth to 3 years of age with varying delays at clients’ homes and/or daycare.

Duties:
  • Provide behavior intervention services in-home and in daycare
  • Implement behavior treatment plans and skill acquisition plans, under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst
  • Run DTT programs (utilizing Applied Verbal Behavior) and NET programs
  • Provide ongoing parent and teacher training
  • Attend team meetings
  • Collaborate with team members
  • Complete accurate and timely therapeutic treatment notes
  • Strictly follow and enforce BACB guidelines
  • Must be Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Must have a working knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
  • Must have experience working with children with special needs
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must have a reliable car, proof of auto insurance, and a valid driver\'s license
  • Proof of immunization records and TB required
  • CPR certification is preferred
Physical Requirements:
  • Therapy activities may require playing on the floor or settings where the furniture is child size
  • Careful attention to the safety of the client and surroundings is required
  • Sudden and quick movements may be required
  • Walking, occasional running, standing, sitting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, reaching above head, bending and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Sustained physical activity may be required for up to 60 minutes

We offer competitive rates of up to $70 per hour*, drive time, mileage and toys reimbursement. *Pay Rate: The professional rate for this position is up to $70/hr for time spent in sessions providing therapy services directly to the consumer; drive time and mileage reimbursement will be compensated at the applicable minimum wage and mileage reimbursement rate. The actual wage rate offered will vary based on several key factors including, but not limited to, the candidate\'s skill set, proficiency in relevant languages, years of professional experience, and the geographical location of the candidate.
