Job summary

A leading education support organization in New Braunfels, Texas, seeks a part-time Board Certified Behavior Analyst. The candidate will develop behavior plans, conduct assessments, and support students and staff in school-based environments. A Master’s degree in Special Education and valid BCBA certification is required. Competitive salary and health benefits offered.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree required in Special Education or related field.
  • Valid BCBA certification in good standing with BACB.
  • Valid Texas Driver's license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Develop behavior plans and treatment plans for students.
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) using evidence-based tools.
  • Provide ongoing support to direct support professionals.
  • Provide ongoing support to direct support professionals, ABA implementers and other individuals in support roles for families.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of assessment tools to conduct functional assessments and analysis when appropriate.
  • Create/maintain a data collection system to establish baseline and programmatic efficacy for students; analyze data to implement best practices.
  • Provide appropriate service to each student on the caseload.
  • Establish open, frequent communication with parents and all related service staff.
  • Make recommendations for the time needed to implement behavioral goals.
  • Participate in appropriate staff meetings as requested.
  • Establish and maintain a positive working atmosphere with staff in order to encourage a positive learning environment for students.
  • Daily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job
  • Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in the school environment
  • Strong family engagement and communication skills

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis, function analysis and assessment, behavior acquisition and reduction procedures, and adaptive life skills

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop behavior plans and treatment plans for students as well as facilitate appropriate behavior strategies
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and skills assessments using evidence-based tools
  • Maintain compliance with relevant ethical guidelines, laws, and regulations (e.g., BACB Code of Ethics)
  • Provide ongoing support to direct support professionals, ABA implementers and other individuals in support roles for families
  • Assist in the development and implementation of assessment tools to conduct functional assessments and analysis when appropriate
  • Create/maintain a data collection system to establish baseline and programmatic efficacy for students; analyze data to implement best practices
